Continuation

After the trip, when we returned, happened to see Shu Qi sia.... the event of My Wife is a gangster 3. However, as there were too many people and the space on the phone was mostly occupied with my zoo photos... hence have some technical problems in taking the photos. Here is the pathetic one:

Anyway, somebody else have taken better picts and posted it here:

my Zoo trip

After a disappointing trip in my JC1 to the zoo (it rained halfway and my photos look fat...), I managed to persuade my dear dear to accompany me to the zoo again. This time no entrance fees (woo hoo~) due to my elder sister able to get the zoo admission card from her company to admit up to four for free. Sad though because she kept forgetting and only able to confirm at last minute that she was able to get the card, I cannot invite friends along...

Anyway, my dear asked how long are we going to spend there. 2 hrs? 3 hrs? 4 hrs? Hahaha...

On 19 Jun, we spent slightly more than 6 hrs there. :D I was happily snapping photographs with his k800i cam, trying my best to take good pictures. Below are some more photos:

On 8th june 2007

On this day morning, I went all the way down to NUS science faculty to give my dear dear a nice bento I made myself. He complained that NUS food is not nice so I just offered to make him bento lo and he asked for delivery service... Haha...

He looked so happy, so I also felt very satisfied that someone appreciate my cooking a lot. :D

The bento I named it the traffic light bento.

After he finished eating, we went to Bugis junction to cut hair.

Here's what we become when we went to Suntec after that to watch Pirates of the Carribean 3 At World's End.

my long hairstyles...

These are the hairstyles options available to me when I had long hair... now no more...
I have cut my hair short. These photos are taken to keep in memory the time when my hair is this long. heh heh...

Irony that is thought provoking.

After seeing this image on the newspaper or magazine and the short description about it made me think about the huge irony behind.

It was said that the photographer after taking this photo left in a hurry, without checking if the child manages to reach the feeding station 100m away.
He won a prize with this photo, yet 4 months after taking this photo, he committed suicide from depression.

Come to think about it, this child took so much effort trying to crawl to the camp, even with the vulture behind thinking of consuming her, never did she just laid there and give up. She just want to live so badly, and the feeding station is like her only hope. The photographer, in contrast, never lend a helping hand by carrying her an extra 100m..., never provide any food or water... and the worst of all, never think twice about taking his own life, something in which the child treasures so much and not given a chance (I personally don't think she did survive with the vulture so close and help so far).

Should one just let nature take its course? Should one learn from Angelina Jolie to offer a helping hand by chasing the vulture away and bringing the child to the salvation camp (Beyond Borders)? How many can you help? While you help one, a few thousands more die. While you help the child, the vulture starved. Even if you helped, she may not even survive the ordeal. Faced with this kind of situation, what should one do? Even if you chose to walked away, why do you feel guilty? The child will soon be relieved from her suffering, and you lived with the lesson of treasuring what you have in comparison. Don't give up when you have a chance, especially when someone tried so hard and yet she cannot achieved.

To Science Centre to watch dino omnimax movie

I also don't really know what to write. The movie effects are nice but the way the show is carried out is quite boring, not much excitement. It seemed that the whole movie is focused on the professor talking instead of the dinosaurs walking, their lifestyle in predicted theory.

Haha... It seems that a change of angle makes the T-rex moved! Haha... is the same T-rex all right.

This is a funny thing that happened some days ago.

One day, the hamster, as usual, put with my cat together on my cat's sleeping haven.
This photo is the start of the funny story and the next moment happened too fast for me to capture an image.

It went like this: the hamster got curious and turn towards the cat's face and sniffed sniffed around. The cat doesn't like anything near its face (ultra scared of anything scarring its cute face) and then give the hamster a small nip (no wounds, never bleed so don't worry). The hamster in return squeaked so loudly the cat faster jerked its head back and the hamster immediately after squeaking end up in this hilarous position, a.k.a. four legs facing the sky pose.

Note: My cat is a very gentle cat, even helped the family found hamsters before when they got loose in the house after biting through the cardboard box, so no worries of it really killing the hamster. The thing which upset me is only when the cat killed my froglet when it jumped out before I had the chance to freed it into the wild. :(
Other than that, the cat also kills lizards, housefly, bees (got stung twice) and chased after cockroaches and praying mantis.

Ever since my mom bought a blender...

I have been trying out new stuff like this glass of tomato blend with apple and honey. Looks gross and taste a bit bland... guess I need to keep improving.
This is chocolate mint shake, made from HL chocolate milk plus scoops of mint ice cream with chocolate chips and ice. The dark chocolate pattern is created by adding chocolate sauce on top.

Snacks which can go well with such drinks.... include bread rolls with tuna and apple. I got the idea from a recipe book.
Taste fantastic and easy to make as well. :D Ate quite a number of these rolls... more than what I would have normally taken and my dear said maybe is because of the small size then easy to eat more.

My Crushes.... :D

Today while flipping my photo album at home, I realised I can still remember most of my primary school friends but very few secondary school classmates names remain in my mind.

Now thinking back, my primary school life seemed more wonderful with just 2 crushes along the path. One I did admit openly, another, well, I also cannot really remember much about him except that he very messy, I bullied him (now still feeling guilty) and we never talk to each other since Pri 3.
There seemed to be a blur impression that we were once good friends in pre year class and Pri 1 but that remained an uncertainty since I cannot remember much any more. I think I felt more confident in studies in primary school.

Secondary school is more crushes and well more fickle minded? Liking 2 guys at one time but remain as crushes. Sigh... I guessed I am quite full of emotions then... maybe overflowing? ;-)
Altogether should be crushes on 4 guys in this period but very brief short crushes, yea. I also won't reveal their identity but it should be quite easily guessable. (Haha)

JC no more crush lo... go into relationship is the grave of crushes... erm but well before maybe still have well 2 to 3 more crushes? Heh heh :-P Me really very hua xin sia....
Good thing is the relationship is solid until now and continues to be solid I hope... (even after he read this) and I feel that I am lucky and fated to be with my dear now.

End of my outburst of emotions (xin qing shu fa).

I almost died in a traffic accident just now!!!

As I was jay-walking, there was a path for me to stop before crossing the one lane road. I stopped to wait for the cars to pass (quite a heavy flow of cars) and then a van stopped in front of me, the men inside signaling me to pass (that kinda give way for you to walk) and fearing that they might caused a jam by stopping halfway like that, I walked.

Never did I realised that a motorcyclist does not think the same or get the hint to stop, he went beside the van and I couldn't see him until he almost knocked into me. Luckily I backed away just in time and suffer no injuries.

The motorcyclist seems worried as well as pissed... and he stopped at the road side to check if I'm okay. I felt very apologetic actually because even if I escaped uninjured, the motorist may injured himself trying to avoid hitting me.

So let me make a note to myself, next time don't ever cross the road until it is clear and not cross because others let me cross, they want me go and die, how?
So scary this incident I must say, it was a miss by a few seconds. Sigh... at least the motorist and I were not injured, phew. I am at fault in this case.

To Suntec And Golden Mile on a Sunday

The lizard pict was taken when my dear dear and I went to suntec. It was on the way when we crossed from Bugis to Suntec by an ulu ulu road. After I done my shopping of Mizayaki dvds (those animations, the same director as Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle), we went to Golden Mile Food Center to have lunch. Dom took beef noodle (niu nan mian), erm the beefy smell was there, as for taste ma, he said was ok. I wanted to try out the fish soup there and this fish soup photo was taken sometime after i consumed a portion of it... heh heh, so it should have more fish slices in it.. The fish soup was nice to me, no fishy smell and different variety of vegetables.

The outing that my dear has planned

This is the Punggol beach. We went there after going to the natural hot spring.

The beach itself was quite small.... erm ok, very very small compared to east coast park. I think the main activity you can do here is only fishing.
We took bus no. 82 from Serangoon bus interchange and it was a very long trip.
The beach was so ulu that the bus had to go very deep into a forest then when reached the clearing had to make a u-turn then can alight.

We dipped our feet into the shallow waters and later a lot of sand was trapped inside our shoes. We then kinda washed our feet on the steps leading to the sea. ;)

Backtrack a bit, the Sembawang hot spring... why no photos???

We were too happily soaking our feet in the hot water that we forgot to take pictures. The place was very very very ulu as well. We lost our way when going there and actually walked past the entrance. The instructions we found on the web were not useful. It was like "The Sembawang Hot Spring lies off Gambas; Avenue near the junction of Sembawang Road and Gambas Avenue" and "it is very easy to find, there will be a concrete path leading you". There was the junction but 2 concrete paths!! In the end, we took taxi and only paid $2.50 (i.e very near). What an experience... The hot spring entrance is sandwiched between 2 army camps and I can actually take bus no. 980 there... but never mind, since bf cannot. The water was very hot and need to be "dilute" with cooler spring water.

Tip: IF walk out from Sembawang MRT station exit B, go straight then left at first traffic light. walk past a pri school then all the way straight down to a junction. Cross the traffic light to the opposite where the army camp is (will see barbed fences). Walk left (head facing the camp). Straight all the way down until u see a path between the barbed fences. Pls LOOK carefully, don't miss it, heading past it will lead to hdb estates and a bus stop.

The weather is going haywire.

Look at the picture to your left. Very bad sign, looks like gonna have a thunderstorm... but no drop of rain at all, even though it is very cold and windy. Weird.

Today, weather seems fine and hence I never bring an umbrella out. While returning home from school, it rained and is funny because the Sun is so super scorching and yet still have raindrops on me. To add on, it is not drizzle but normal dose of rain.

What is happening to our weather?????!!! Scary.

Busy week while parents happy elsewhere...

Parents not at home... good? I really wonder...
Mother left for holidays in China just giving me more money and ask me take care of younger sister and inspect the maid as well when she come over to do household chores.
Today is the 6th day and the maid is coming over.
Morning still okay, get to watch vcd "Take the lead", after that went out with dear to buy ingredients to cook.
Mother left without telling me there was no oil... only saying there is vegetables in the fridge, can cook instant noodles...
Sigh... have to buy oil, and also realized that almost 90% of the vegetables in the fridge is spoilt and the rest 10% I dunno how to cook.

The oil is like on offer 5 liters plus 1 liter free! That is super duper heavy, but luckily my dear dear help me carried while I carried lighter stuff like soya bean milk, crabstick and mixed vegetables.

Had rice, fish fillet in orange juice (frozen fish fillet plus orange juice stir-fry) and clam chowder (canned soup) for lunch. After that, rest, while the maid cleaned the house (vacuum and mop floor, also wash toilets), and cooked fried rice for my sisters' dinner.

Nice? As can be seen from the photo, very satisfied but I only had one tablespoon to test the saltiness. Boyfriend also helped by cutting the ingredients like crab sticks, sausages, mushrooms and add the oil and soya light when required. :D Thank you, dear dear.

After that went Bugis to buy bread for tomorrow breakfast and have dinner at Mos burger as well. The bread Mother left I think expired... sigh.

Feeling Kinda stressed?

Due to some problems with my exams registration, I have been busy and feeling down for some time. From the beginning bearing so much hopes in taking 4 papers, the excitement about the challenge, to now, hopes dashed when I realized that I can only take up to 3 papers for taking computer-based exams due to an uninformed policy.
Actions have been taken but I never get what I initially started out to get, even though I'm being compensated.

Furthermore, I discovered another hole in one of my tooth, even small, it's worrying. Very sad, have to wait a month to see the dentist which I hoped my situation does not worsen.

My Japanese lessons as well... paid the course fees, turned up as emailed and find not a single soul in the room. Quite embarrassing asking around and getting answers like " Did you get the wrong day?" and "Not sure." and when I returned home to double check the email, there was no error on my part... hmmm now waiting for reply...

My hard and dark period will be over soon... I wished.

The braces fully inside my mouth...

Heh heh...
Just one day after the brackets were in, now comes the metal wires and rubber bands!
Initially after hearing from my ACCA friends that can get to choose colour, I was like so excited... thinking what colour should I put? That day when the dentist just put in the silver brackets, I was like so disappointed... but I get to choose the colour of the rubber bands... weee~ something like ku3 zhong1 zuo4 le. :-D

So many but I decided on purple... because I thought that it will be easy to match my clothes.
The braces felt very awful now... having abrasions and ulcers on my inner lower lip and it is so difficult to speak and swallow and chew... sometimes I just lower my head and the saliva came out from the sides... gross...

Now I felt like a different person in terms of looks... ya trying to change to a different "me"
